Cognitive Carpentry
Engineering discipline and craftsmanship applied to AI.

The Philosophy
Cognitive Carpentry is how we approach AI work.
Good carpentry is about joints that hold, materials chosen for purpose, and structures that serve the people who use them. We apply that same discipline to AI systems: built to fit your domain, engineered with rigor, designed to last.
The Founder
More than 38 years in software engineering – from system design to enterprise architecture, from hands-on development to technical leadership. 7+ years in data science and machine learning, applied to real problems: predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, time series analysis. Built Ex-Libro from the ground up – agentic pipelines, knowledge retrieval, multi-tenant architecture. Not advising from the sidelines, but writing the code.
This combination means we’re comfortable with your databases and APIs as much as your documents. When the right solution involves structured data, we can work with that too.
The Network
ejdyn.ai operates as a network of senior consultants. We partner with experienced practitioners in complementary areas – AI engineering, data science, domain expertise, DevOps – to assemble the right team for each engagement.
No bench. No juniors learning on your project. Every person you work with is a seasoned professional who has been chosen for the specific skills your project needs.
What “Cognitive Carpentry” Means in Practice
- We measure twice before we build. Assessment and prototyping come before large commitments.
- We use the right material for each joint. Not every problem needs an LLM. Sometimes the answer is a database query, an API call, or a data pipeline – not a prompt. We pick the tool that fits.
- We build to hand over. You own the result. We document, we train, we transfer knowledge.
- We maintain what we build. AI systems aren’t set-and-forget. We stay engaged as long as you need us.
